Recovery of an MMO junkie is a cute and fun series that follows the main characters’ daily antics, Morika Morioka, a 30-something recluse who spends her days sleeping and playing her favorite computer game. The series explores her social anxiety and love life which Mirioka lives bi-curiously through her favorite game.

The strings of fate cause Morioka to bump into a colleague in the game, and the two become very close. A winding road of romance and indecision forced Mirioka out of her box and into someone’s arms.

Welcome to the NHK is perhaps the most well-known and most praised anime about NEETs. It’s a slice of life anime that tackles the main character Satou Tatsushiro, a hikikomori NEET in his mid-20s suffering from the trauma he went through as a child and crippling depression and anxiety.
