Fans will have no problems finding their favorite among the colorful cast with a mix of personalities with their own morals and desires. Here are the best characters in Dragon Age Absolution.
6 Miriam
Miriam is the character that the story of Dragon Age: Absolution revolves around. As an elf, Miriam was born a slave to Rezaren and his mother. Miriam endured immense cruelty at the hands of her stepmother, which shaped her into a distant and untrusting person with problems dealing with her emotions.

She was trained to precision to be a spectacular fighter and assassin. Unfortunately, because of her paranoia and unresolved past trauma, she makes rash decisions and falters quickly under pressure. Miriam’s character development is told brilliantly in Dragon Age: Absolution, making her a unique character that stands out appropriately among the rest of the cast.
5 Tassia
Tassia is a resolute knight that places her duty above all else. She is a fierce and devoted warrior that any who faces her will remember if they cross her path. Tassia’s courage and dedication are only rivaled by her care for Razaren.
There is a constant fight inside of her on whether to prioritize the safety of Razaren or the protection of the Tevinter people. When faced with an enemy she can crush with her hammer, Tassia thrives in battle, never hesitating to place herself between her allies and danger.
4 Lacklon
The levelheaded Lacklon is the only sensible individual among a crowd of wannabe heroes. With an off-putting, pragmatic personality, Lacklon is not easy to get along with but is a loyal companion when trust is earned. As a dwarf, Lacklon is quick to be cautious around most other long-legged races, always on the fence until substantial proof is offered.
But beneath his rough exterior is a big soft-hearted romantic that is a sucker for long hair and a pretty smile. Lacklon is a strong warrior in his own right but specializes in demolition and finding ways out of places where there are no exits.
3 Rezaren
Rezaren Ammosine is the main antagonist of Dragon Age: Absolution and performs his role perfectly. Rezaren is more than just the big bad evil sorcerer seeking world domination. His character is complex, and his motives, while delusional, exist out of past trauma, making him believable in his ambitions. Rezaren is the son of Tevinter royalty and the magister of the imperial chantry, serving directly under the Great Divine. He was raised alongside Miriam and her brother, Neb, who were trained to be his servants and protectors.

After tragedy struck and left Rezaren an orphan, he sought to rebuild his family with the resurrection powers of the Circulum Infinitus. However, Rezaren seeks this outcome regardless of the feelings of others. Unable to see past his own narcissistic vision, he stops at nothing to fulfill his goal and put everything back the way he believes it was supposed to be. Rezaren is a perfect villain in that he believes he is doing something good at the expense of others.
2 Roland
Roland is a long-time friend of Miriam and her partner when Hira and Fairbanks show up to hire her for a job. It is clear from the very beginning that Roland is a very level-headed individual, but as the series goes on, it’s evident that Roland’s shining quality is his loyalty.

Roland is not someone who is shaken easily, having the utmost faith in his friends and being an excellent judge of character at first glance. In addition to his high moral standards, Roland is also an adept fighter who wields a shield and sword. Together with Lackland, he was able to go head-to-head with Tassia and come out reasonably unscathed.
1 Qwydion
Qwydion captures the hearts of viewers from the moment she steps onto the screen. The resident female Qunari mage has an easy-going, bubbly personality who tries her best to see things from a positive perspective. While not very outspoken, Qwydion is a strong pillar that the party relies on when things go awry.
Possessing expert magical abilities in healing, Qwydion is more than capable of holding her own in any fight as a battle mage, whether it be against a magister or dragon. However, Qwydion dares to challenge a closed hand with an open heart on more than one occasion.
