RELATED: Genshin Impact: Best Claymore

As of Genshin Impact 2.2, there are six 4-star Claymore characters and two 5-star. In version 2.3, travelers can anticipate the third 5-star Claymore unit, Arataki Itto. This Inazuman Oni will be a Geo character, similar to Noelle.

8 Sayu

Split-scaling is one of Sayu’s issues. She can heal the active fighter based on her attack or heal all off-field characters based on her Elemental Mastery (if she triggers Swirl). Although healing is her area of expertise, many characters can perform better in her field. For example, Jean and Noelle can heal and deal damage simultaneously. Meanwhile, Sayu can’t deal enough damage to earn her spot during combat.

Despite having fun gameplay, sadly, the Shuumatsuban Ninja has to be placed on the bottom rank.

7 Beidou

Beidou’s Skill, Burst, and Constellations indicate that she’s an Electro damage dealer. Electro is considered the weakest element in the game, so it greatly affects Beidou’s capabilities.

The best way to play Beidou is as a Sub-DPS. Her Elemental Burst has a decent Electro application that can help trigger more reactions. Characters like Tartaglia can benefit from this, where Childe and Beidou form a famous combination called the Firework Comp.

The Crux Fleet Captain is a decent damage dealer, but other Elements simply outshine her.

6 Noelle

Noelle has a unique passive that allows her to emergency shield the active character once they reach 30% HP. It makes up for her high Elemental Skill’s cooldown.

Although Noelle can do everything like shielding, healing, and dealing decent damage, she’s at best average in everything she does. This is the same case as Jean, where she’s the Jack of All Trades, but the Master of None.

Genshin Impact: Best Characters To Use On Spiral Abyss

The Favonius Maid is mostly viable after players gain her C6. Even then, she needs fantastic artifacts to be able to stay on the field without causing a DPS loss to her team. Because of this, Noelle can’t rank higher on the list.

5 Chongyun

Chongyun is mainly a Sub-DPS that relies on his Elemental Burst to deal most of his damage. The low scaling on his Normal and Charged Attacks prevents the Exorcist from carrying the role of main-DPS.

However, despite being a Sub-DPS, Chongyun is hard to fit with other characters due to his Elemental Skill’s Frost Field. Characters inside this field will have their weapon infused with Cryo. Even though It’s suitable for Cryo users like Ayaka, it’s a nightmare for other melee characters like Keqing and Razor.

All these contradictions affect Chongyun’s performance in a team, resulting in him being on this rank.

4 Xinyan

Xinyan is the first character that deals Physical damage on her Elemental Burst. Because of this, the Musician shouldn’t be built on Pyro damage. In fact, Xinyan’s poor Pyro application is her most significant negative.

As the main DPS, Xinyan can count on her Charged Attack and Elemental Burst to deal high damage. As a Support, Xinyan can be a Sub-DPS with some supportive abilities. She only needs to join the field to cast her Skill and Burst. Her Elemental Skill will buff Physical damage, while the Burst deals decent damage.

Additionally, Xinyan’s Vision qualifies her to activate the Pyro Resonance if paired with another Pyro character.

3 Razor

Before Eula, Razor was considered the best Physical DPS. Their Vision, Cryo and Electro are the best for Physical characters, as it’s easy for them to trigger Superconduct. However, unlike the Favonius Knight, Razor is far more selfish as a DPS.

The Wolf Boy’s Elemental Burst took his damage to another level, where he gains attack speed buff and continuous Electro damage. However, once swapped out, Razor loses all the buffs. Considering his selfishness, players have to compose a team around Razor.

While Razor remains one of the best DPS in Genshin Impact, he’s shadowed by the 5-star characters.

2 Diluc

Diluc’s Elemental Skill can be used up to three times and has a low cooldown. His Burst has a low energy requirement and infuses his weapon with Pyro. All his kit grants him the ability to inflict Pyro damage continuously. Diluc was and still is an excellent DPS that wields the most vital element in the game.

Diluc can outperform most DPS characters, he can trigger Melt and Vaporise reactions, and he is one of the few characters that can stay on the field dealing decent damage non-stop. He would’ve easily made it to the top rank was it not for Eula.

1 Eula

The Lawrence descendant originally caused a small outrage among the fanbase. However, players learned to quickly love this misunderstood character.

Eula’s Physical damage is incomparable to any other character in Genshin Impact. Her whole kit is working together in harmony to create this outstanding dancer. Eula’s Cryo Vision grants her easy access to Superconduct, and her low Skill cooldown makes her the perfect wielder for the Pale Flame artifact.

For her remarkable damage, she deserves the crown. A fitting queen on the throne of Physical damage dealers, and the best claymore character.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
